VOLUNTEER AT THE KITCHEN

​At Mayan Kitchen we are always looking for volunteers to help us strengthen our community. We truly appreciate any support we can get and would be happy to give something back in return, whether that is a lesson in cooking or a handmade gift from our women's weaving cooperative.

Some things we could currently use a hand with are:

-Photography
-Promotion

Please let us know if you are able to lend your support in any way during your stay in San Pedro or drop by for a visit at the kitchen/cooperative.  We hope to meet you soon!

TEACH AT OUR LOCAL SCHOOL

Looking for ways to connect with and contribute to the community in San Pedro? We are looking for people to volunteer at a public school near our kitchen - about a 10 minute walk from the main docks. You don't need any teaching experience. Just send us a message to let us know when you'll be in town. The students would love to meet you and learn a bit of English or a few words in a different language!

​We accept donations of new or gently-used toys, running shoes, school supplies, and other items to distribute to less fortunate children in the community. If you're coming to Lake Atitlán and can collect a few of these items for us, please let us know. Any gifts would be much appreciated.
